The Hans Horrevoets Memorial Race has built a reputation as a well-known and adventurous sailing competition dedicated to the late sailor Hans Horrevoets. This year the race will be held on Sunday, 6 October 2019.
Hans died on May 18, 2006 at the age of 32 during the Volvo Ocean Race stage from New York to Portsmouth. A merciless wave ended his dream, but his unconditional spirit lives on. The HH Memorial Race takes place to remind us of Hans.
The starting point is that every owner of a sailing boat can register for this competition.
The overall winner receives a special trophy, which symbolizes the free track and Hans’ passion for the sport.
There will also be a special job for the youth this year where extra guidance will be available.
