Classic Young Masters – Rangel Silaev en Julian van der Linden – Compositie ‘in CC’
Classic Young Masters is a Dutch organisation where young talented musicians can develop themselves. The 21-year-old pianist, composer and producer Rangel Silaev already started playing the piano when he was five years old. Rangel has built a considerable career in writing music himself, both in the film music and pop music worlds. Julian van der Linden started playing the saxophone at the age of 7. In 2016 he was admitted to the Academy of Musical Talent in Utrecht. Since September 2018 Julian has been studying at the HKU/Conservatory in Utrecht.
Power to the Pipo
Power to the Pipo serves up an irresistible cocktail of hard grooves and explosive solos. Raw, energetic, funky and always a party. In the autumn of 2021 they presented their two album SPETTERS in a sold-out Merleyn. Their first album LEIPE SHIT was launched in 2018. This year the band was selected for the Popronde and is building the necessary parties in the country. In recent years, the band grew into a popular live act with almost 150 gigs. Power to the Pipo played at: Popronde, Jazz in Duketown, Jazz in de Gracht, Amersfoort Jazz, Fields of Joy, Pinguin Radio Showcases (ESNS), Culture Nova and the Vierdaagse Feesten.
Jeroen Kant
Jeroen Kant is a self-willed and capricious singer/guitarist/songwriter. He always follows his musical heart and it is seldom the path of least resistance. If he has become too comfortable, he continues to search for growth. In the meantime, this has resulted in a nice series of remarkable albums full of Dutch songs. An oeuvre that ranges from intimate gems of cabaret to steaming blues grooves. Always without losing sight of the content. His sound is raw and organic, authentic, outspoken and his own. He is mainly inspired by the rich blues, roots and rock tradition. Since 2020, he has been staying on his boat in the Biesbosch to work on his new music.
