The National Open Beekeeping Day (LOI), the most fun-filled open day of the year, is scheduled for Saturday 13 July. Come to the apiary on Koekoekweg in Made between 10.30am and 3pm. During the open day, participants across the country will open the apiary doors and visitors will get a peek inside the hive. It is the perfect time for us as beekeepers to tell guests about the beautiful craft of beekeeping, but also the opportunity to enthuse people to improve the habitat for bees.
The bee can boast of growing interest. More and more people realise the importance of insects in general, which are indispensable for nature and biodiversity. Ambrosius also provides courses. Practical lessons are given in the apiary. By starting in the apiary, you learn to see if you can switch to a hive in your own garden or environment. We therefore welcome you to come on Saturday to watch with the family, friends et cetera. Protective clothing is provided, it is free entry but the delicious local honey you pay for with old-fashioned coins at a special price that day.
