Many people can't wait to get the season started
“The nice spring weather has started, so we hope it will fill up here again,” says the harbor master with satisfaction. Last winter it was all hands on deck to get Jachthaven Biesbosch ready for the boating season. The jetties were thoroughly cleaned. Since the beginning of this month the mooring ropes can be cast off again.
“You notice now that the sun is shining that people are working on their boats to get back in the water,” says owner Huib Snoek of Snoek Jachtstalling. At the family business in Drimmelen, speed is building to get the four hundred boats that are there in the water. Twenty to twenty-five boats a day are hoisted into the water.
