On Saturday morning, 12 October at 11am, the new boathouse at Jachthaven Biesbosch in Drimmelen will be opened by the Burgermeester van Drimmelen and the Unity leadership of the Zeeland-West Brabant police force.
This date is no coincidence; the opening is part of the national Safety Week in which a number of Drimmelen's safety partners will also participate.
To ensure that the Dongemond police team can perform its duties on and around the water all year round, there was a need to place the police boat undercover in a boathouse. The boathouse is now located next to the fire department's boathouse.
During this morning, everyone who is interested can take a tour of the new police house, the fire department's boat house, the patrol boat from the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management and the emergency response vehicles. A mini safety roadshow is also being set up for the day. For example, you can talk to the local police officers and firefighters or register yourself for a free home inspection in the field of burglaries and fire safety. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the food truck of Boeien
You are most welcome at the port office between 10:30 and 14:30! We hope you can join us in celebrating the opening of this new facility.
